EDJBA COVID-19 UPDATE 01/06/2021

As per the announcements from Basketball Victoria, the EDJBA has made the decision to cancel games for this Saturday 5th June.

Whilst this news may be disappointing for some, the health and safety for all our members, volunteers, venues and clubs is paramount.

The situation in Victoria remains extremely uncertain, and whilst the decision on lockdown ending Thursday is yet to be made up, the EDJBA had opted to proceed with caution for this Saturday.

This Saturday was scheduled to be the Round 1 of the Regular Season. This will still remain as “Round 1” with each team to receive a BYE. This will be reflected on PlayHQ later this week, which will also have the grades that each team has been graded into for everyone to see publicly.

With the Queen’s Birthday long weekend the following Saturday, there will obviously be no EDJBA games scheduled. Therefore, we are hopeful of resuming our season for Round 2 on Saturday, 19th June.

Please remember to remain safe during this period, and we hope to see everyone on the court again sooner rather than later.

Feel free to reach out if anyone needs support at this time.
