The following information applies to EDJBA finals:
Player Qualification for Finals:
PLAYERS NOT LISTED IN PLAYHQ: Unless a team is very confident that a player who is not listed in PlayHQ Scoring, then the team should not play the player. If they decide to add the player, this is at their own risk if the player is found to be ineligible. The EDJBA will check all players added to finals on Sunday morning.
As a minimum, players must have played five games to be able to play finals, but there are some qualifications to this.
- If a player has filled in for a team five times but they are not registered in PlayHQ and allocated to the team, they will not be able to play finals
- If a player has filled in for a second team five times but has not been given special permission by the EDJBA to play in the team, they will not be able to play finals
- If a player was added to a team after grading, with EDJBA permission, they will be able to play finals if the EDJBA deems that their contribution to the team does not affect grading. We will be assessing these players over the next week or so
The only other players permitted are those with special permission which is organised through the relevant Member Club and approved by the EDJBA.
Each Member Club will be sent a qualified players list.

Court Allocation:
Each Member Club is allocated a percentage of courts based on the number of teams they have in the competition – not the number of teams in finals. This means that although we try and offer the team who finishes higher on the ladder a home court final, it is definitely not guaranteed.
Grand Finals are always played at neutral venues unless it is a game with two teams from the same Member Club. In this situation the game is played at the Member Club’s home venue.
Fixturing:
Fixtures are organised by the EDJBA as soon as the results have been finalised. This process can take a few days to finalise as there are many varying factors that come into play. The EDJBA aims to have the fixtures published by Wednesday. Even after the fixture is published, there is potential for a fixture change and therefore it is always best to check the website on the Friday afternoon. All requests regarding fixturing must be handled by the Member Club.
